Pau d'Arco is the inner bark from a rainforest tree called taheebo, Latin Tabebuia impeteginosa. The process of harvesting the bark is sustainable and causes no permanent damage to the tree.
Pau d'Arco is made into a tea which is reported to have many medicinal properties, including anti-viral and antiparisitic. It is traditionally drunk during the cold and flu season. Use 1 teaspoon per cup of boiling water.

Pau d'Arco contains lapachol and naphthaquinones which are thought to be anti-fungal.
