Fresh nori - yes, this is what nori sheets are made from, but in the fresh form it is quite different! Nori is the Japanese name although we do have an English name for this seaweed which some of you may know it by: Laver. And this nori is harvested off the coast of France near Brittany.
Raw, fresh and unprocessed and full of flavour and minerals. Nori is rich in protein, iron, phosphorus and beta-carotene (precursor to Vitamin A).
As this is a refrigerated product, we can only send it within the UK.
The instructions say to remove the salt which is used to preserve the seaweed, rinse with fresh water, but I find it best to soak for 5 mins before rinsing to properly remove the salt.
Ingredients: Nori (Porphyra umbilicalis), sea salt.
Store in the refrigerator. The best before date will usually be in 1 to 2 months.
Harvested from the Atlantic off the coast of Brittany, France.
